Getting to Surakarta
By Air
Adi Sumarmo International Airport (SOC) in Boyolali serves Surakarta. Direct flights from Jakarta, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Approximately 30–40 minutes by taxi to UNS campus.
By Train
Solo Balapan Station and Purwosari Station are the main train stations in Surakarta. Direct trains from Jakarta (8 hrs), Yogyakarta (1 hr), Bandung (7 hrs), and Surabaya (3 hrs). Both stations are within 20 minutes from UNS.
Local Transport
From any arrival point, grab/Gojek ride-hailing apps are widely available and affordable in Surakarta. Taxi apps (Gocar, Grabcar) are recommended. The UNS campus in Kentingan is well known to all local drivers.
